Storms hit North Carolina hard. When they do, most homeowners meet one of two kinds of people: the contractor who knocks on your door with a clipboard and a countdown clock, or the crew that shows up, does the work right, and tells you the truth.
The Storm Tamers are about the second kind. A comic series from MCSquared Roofing, drawn from our real family and our real playbook: no salespeople, no pressure, just straight answers about your roof.
Meet the Team
- Roof Shield (Quinn). The founder. Every plan, every price, out in the open. If something’s wrong with your roof, he’ll tell you what and why.
- The Anchor (Ashley). The steady hand who spots a pushy pitch from a mile off. Nothing gets past her.
- Thunder (Gunner). The power. Linebacker build, swings the biggest hammer, first through storm damage.
- Lightning (Wyatt). The speed. Fastest kid on the basepaths and up the ladder.
- Ridge Runner (Bodie). The smallest and the sharpest eye. Nothing slips past him at the peak.
Episodes
Episode 1: First Storm — The Tamers take their first call after a storm rolls through practice, and Ridge Runner finds the real reason the wind got in. Captain’s Notes: why nails, not storms, decide whether shingles stay on.
The Tamers take on a new villain every week. Each episode ends with a Captain’s Note you can actually use on your own roof.
- Episode 2: The Blowoff — Oct 14. A whirlwind peels shingles that never sealed, and the crew hand-seals it right.
- Episode 3: The Gloom — Oct 21. Black streaks bring out a pressure washer. Ridge Runner says no.
- Episode 4: The Bump in the Attic — Oct 28. Halloween special: the “haunted” attic is a roof that can’t breathe.
- Episode 5: Ice Dam — Nov 4. The winter arc begins. Ice forms on the eaves, but the real problem is in the attic.
- Episode 6: The Chaser — Nov 11. An out-of-town con man collects storm deposits. Local and transparent wins.
- Episode 7: Leaky Lou — Nov 18. Everyone blames the shingles. It’s the chimney flashing.
